Cohasset Basement and Deck
One major problem with modern "open concept" designs is that we have a tendency to accumulate lots of stuff (kids toys...) in the first floor living area. The solution? A finished basement. This customer approached us wanting a finished basement that could serve as a playroom and family room while also adding a separate bedroom and bathroom for guests. We built out the basement according to their design, adding a half bathroom, bedroom, and three closets. We installed wide plank engineered oak flooring and slate porcelain tile in the bathroom, creating a functional and inviting space.
As often happens, the project scope grew during the job. We added a large addition to the rear deck, replaced all decking with no-maintenance and attractive Trex decking, and added a custom outdoor shower of our own design, providing a beautiful and private shower stall. As a finishing touch, we added a red cedar arch with matching boat cleat towel hooks and bench. There's nothing like an outdoor shower in the summer!
